A mod that uses the Pokémon Emerald engine, Super Mariomon aims to create a fun and lighthearted experience alligned with Nintendo's core design philosophy for Super Mario storytelling, level design, and mechanics. More about the mod can be found here or in the "PLAY!" button above.
My goal as one of the primary designers was to make the game feel as close to a Super Mario RPG game as possible. I did this by researching how these games typically portray their characters, what the tone is, and designing new and fun overworld mechanics. With many online claiming this as one of the best ROM hacks of 2025, it's one of my proudest projects. A write up for my design process will be made soon.
Super Mariomon will release its v2, "Luigimon", in 2026.
A 2 year timeskip from the original Too Many Types, you play as a new kid moving into Lilycove City with the goal of becoming the Pokémon Champion! You'll meet many new faces, including your rival, Ruby or Saph, and the looming Team Purity, a new evil team looking to purify the world back to the original 17 types! Or was it 15? No, surely it was 18! It doesn't matter, because with 80 new types, it's sure to be too many!
I was again in charge of making new levels and plot for this game. Tasked to transform Hoenn into a new region after the destruction of Kyogre and Groudon, maps are edited to either include new mountains, dried rivers, raised sea levels, you name it. It was an incredibly fun time reworking the region.
Also Trans Rights are Human Rights.
Project Steelheart (also known as Pokémon Steelheart) is a Pokémon White 2 ROM hack that aimed to transform the base game into a new experience, complete with a new story, characters and gameplay modifications, all inspired by Pokémon Colosseum and Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness.
The project started as a means for me to expand my portfolio to add character design, writing, and programming, but grew into a larger project that garnered a small following and prospects for continued development over several years. The project is also directly tied to me starting my career.
Development ended due to time constraints and interests in other projects. There are thoughts about restarting the project later in life, but only after a team is built and I have the proper funds and time for it.
Pokémon: Too Many Types is a Pokémon Emerald mod that adds 44 new types to the game, 118 new moves, and 3 typed Pokémon to name a few features. More information about the mod can be found here.
A "crackhead" idea that the team sunk intense hours over 3 weeks to make, it was an incredible success due to its shock and goofiness, exploding on Youtube across a variety of content creators and streamers. TMT1 and TMT2 have at least 25,000,000 views on Youtube content.
There isn't much to talk about aside from play the sequel! It's so much better!! But the original is always here for those curious!!!
“Get-A-Grip Chip and the Body Bugs sends Chip on a new mission: enter the human body and dismantle digestive distress! In this satisfying 2D platformer, master Chip’s grappling hook to get things flowing. Raise an army of white blood cells to fight off the Body Bugs as you grapple for guts and glory.”
As an intern, I worked on storyboarding the intro and ending cutscenes for the game. This was my first time working with a studio, and I’m glad they were able to give me rapid feedback on my work while I was on limited time as a college student.
In between storyboarding, I also worked on rapid idea prototyping for their latest demo, GNAW.
Elementa is a 2D Momentum Platformer built in Unity. Its focus on maintaining momentum through slopes and homing attacks made it a fun speedrunning game within the small community.
It was one of the first projects I put dedicated time to, and was very proud of my progress at the time. It was shown off at BostonFIG 2020.
It's rough, busted, and a little chaotic, but I'm so glad I made it.
